In General:

  • Create a positive guest experience by meeting and exceeding our customer’s expectations
  • Be thoroughly knowledgeable of all food, beverages, and prices on our menu
  • Be able to monitor, prioritize, and keep track of multiple tables, including special guest requests such as allergies, while ensuring that food quality and presentation standards are strictly followed
  • Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and safely
  • Maintain a positive and respectful rapport with other colleagues and management
  • Perform other duties as required

As a Bartender:

  • Promptly receive drink orders and pour all beverages to our restaurant’s standards
  • Setup, maintain, and close bar area including operating and maintaining the glasswasher machine, glass chiller, bar fridge, and sink
  • Stock and maintain all bar products including mise en place
  • Check and maintain beer kegs and liquor levels
  • Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering

As a Server:

  • Assist in food running and ensuring plates arrive to the proper guest
  • Inspect all tables ensuring proper table settings and completeness
  • Ensure that all FOH areas are kept clean and free from clutter, which includes, but not limited to: the main bar, the dessert bar, server stations, sinks, countertops, tools, appliances, tables, chairs, booth dividers, interior windows, and any other working surfaces
  • Ensuring restrooms are clean and presentable by keeping mirrors, sinks, vanities clean, sanitized, and free from clutter while ensuring that supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are fully stocked
  • Empty FOH garbage and recycling, which includes garbage from restrooms


  • 1-2 years of both restaurant serving and bartending experience
  • Post-secondary hospitality education or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Excellent wine, beer, and cocktail knowledge
  • Skilled in preparing cocktails
  • Ability to take direction and thrive in a high-pressured, fast-paced environment while remaining calm, level-headed, and team-centred
  • Must be charismatic, social, and a general “people person”
  • High attention to detail, ability to take direction, and to prioritize
  • Superior communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Valid Smart Serve certificate
  • Possess excellent knowledge of Japanese food and drinks
  • Able to spend 100% of the time standing and being able to lift and move beer kegs, liquor and wine boxes
  • Be able to access all floors of the restaurant while frequently carrying 20 lbs of food and drinks up and down a flight of stairs
  • Must be flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to speak Japanese and First Aid training are assets


• $12.20/hour starting pay + % of tips
